ERRORS a.k.a. "BUGS" I ENCOUNTERED IN USING VB6.0

before telling you the bugs and errors i encountered in Visual Basic 6.0, first, what comes in your mind when you hear the word bugs???

hahaha.maybe you might think its Bugs Bunny or maybe the insects like caterpillar and others.
the bugs that i have encountered are the software bugs. this software bugs are the errors, mistakes, failures or fault in a computer program or software that prevents it from behaving as intended.as you can see...bugs and errors are just the same.hhe.

now that you know the "bugs" that i am talking about, i can now tell you the bugs that i encountered.

first, in making the menu by using menu editor, i always forgot to label the name of the menu, i don't know why.

second, in putting the option buttons, i taught at first, we can put a border on it so i try to find it, but in the end, i found out that you can't put a border on it.how stupid of me.

third, when i copy-paste the option buttons, me and my partner had a trouble in it.because when we play the math operators and click option 1(1) the dot inside the circle doesn't disappear anymore. what we did is that we deleted option 1(1) and copy and paste again option 1(0), then when we play it, amazingly, it behaved properly.

fourth, the carelessness of me. sometimes, especially in putting codes, i lack punctuation marks or sometimes i misspelled the codes or words.

so, if you don't want to encounter this "bugs", you must be really careful and cautious in making your program.in the check all the codes,punctuations and other things that you have placed that might make an error on your program.

Visual Basic is really FUN!=)

that's right!it's really fun.when our teacher in programming introduce us the things about visual basic, i already got interested and happy with it.because after the confusing things about flowcharting, at last here comes a more relaxing topic but still there's the thrill that i want.at first, i didn't understand the topics in visual basic because i didn't attended 2 session in our programming class because of the preparation in our research which has enter in the INTEL Science Fair.

later on, our teacher taught us how to make a slot machine in visual basic. at first, again, i didn't understand how to make a slot machine because i didn't listen to our teacher but when i read my handout and install the visual basic 6.0 in our pc and study about it, i realized that it is just tiring and you just need to be careful but when you understand it you will feel happy because it is really fun and full of excitement.

CONCLUSION:

visual basic is really FUN and full of lessons or values. there are a lot of values that you will learn in visual basic like patience, cautious, and many more.

Since my elementary days, I already love playing and exploring computer, and maybe that's the reason why i really exert effort when it comes to computer-related subjects. I also try my best to learn new things about computer technology but sometimes because of my laziness I don't understand some of the lessons that our teacher is teaching us.but when the time comes that I am really dedicated to learn I try to study the lessons that I didn't understand. also, I like programming because it's a challenging subject even though sometimes it's complicated, but at least it's not as hard as math and science.

Now that I'm going to my college life, I'm now planning the degree that I want to take. Of course, the degree that I will take is the one that I really love and where I will really be happy and feel contented. That's no other than BS Information Technology. I know that there are now a lot of students that are taking this degree and the competition is not easy but I will try my best to excel on this degree.
